Looking for an experienced Senior Test Engineer with strong expertise in API testing, integration testing, and test automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Playwright, TypeScript, Postman, API automation, microservices, and database testing, preferably in the banking domain.

The candidate should be capable of defining testing strategies, leading integration testing activities, managing defects, and ensuring end-to-end quality across complex systems.

Primary Skills (Priority 1 – Must Have)

Technical Expertise

• API Automation using Postman, Newman, Rest Assured, or similar tools

• REST APIs, GraphQL, Microservices, and Third-Party Integrations

• API Contract Testing and Event-Driven Architecture

• Kafka, MQ, RabbitMQ, or ESB

• Database validation and backend testing

• CI/CD integration using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and GitHub

• Jira and Xray

• GitHub Copilot / Microsoft Copilot

Key Responsibilities

• Define API and integration testing strategies.

• Design, develop, and execute API, contract, and integration test scenarios.

• Build and maintain API automation frameworks and test suites.

• Validate REST APIs, GraphQL, microservices, and third-party integrations.

• Perform database testing and backend data validation.

• Identify API specification gaps and improve test coverage.

• Lead defect triage and resolve integration issues in collaboration with development teams.

• Coordinate with development, architecture, and external vendor teams.

• Manage and coordinate testing teams across multiple locations.

• Ensure end-to-end validation and release readiness.

Preferred Experience

• Strong experience in API, integration, and database testing.

• Experience in banking or financial services projects.

• Experience managing distributed teams and working with cross-functional stakeholders.

• Practical knowledge of automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
