Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Testing) / SDET with 7+ years of experience and strong hands-on expertise in test automation, API testing, Java, REST Assured, SQL, performance testing, and CI/CD.

The candidate should have strong experience working on enterprise applications, microservices, and distributed systems and should be capable of independently designing and developing robust automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, prioritization, and Agile development activities.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Testing teams.
• Design and develop comprehensive functional and non-functional test suites.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Java, TestNG/JUnit, Selenium and REST Assured.
• Perform extensive API testing for REST services and validate service contracts.
• Perform SQL/database validation and data verification.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
• Perform performance, load, and stress testing using tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
• Work with microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
• Analyze test and performance results and provide actionable insights.
• Participate in regression, deployment verification, release, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify defects early and minimize production defect leakage.
• Review automation code and mentor junior team members.
• Collaborate with Product Owners for demos and acceptance discussions.
• Understand end-to-end technical architecture and system dependencies.
• Define and maintain quality standards, testing processes, and automation best practices.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of software testing experience
• Strong hands-on experience in Java
• Strong hands-on experience in API Automation using REST Assured
• Strong SQL/database testing experience
• Experience with Selenium, TestNG/JUnit
• Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and web services
• Experience with microservices testing
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with JMeter/Gatling or similar performance testing tools
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes is an advantage
• Knowledge of gRPC and Go is a plus
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, security, and vulnerability testing
• Knowledge of TDD and BDD
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
• Experience mentoring team members and reviewing automation work

Preferred Skills: Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, gRPC, Go, OWASP, CWE, Jenkins, Git, Agile/Scrum.
