Job description

We are looking for an experienced Product QA Engineer with strong expertise in Manual Web and API Testing and working knowledge of Playwright. The ideal candidate should have strong software testing fundamentals, good analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with development and product teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing of web applications.
  • Design, review, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.
  • Perform end-to-end testing of web-based applications.
  • Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or similar tools.
  • Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
  • Analyze requirements and prepare appropriate test scenarios and test cases.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure product stability after new releases.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve defects.
  • Participate in defect triage and provide clear information for issue resolution.
  • Maintain testing documentation, test reports, and execution results.
  • Work with Playwright for basic automation and contribute to improving test coverage where required.

 

Required Skills 

  • 4–6 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing.
  • Strong experience in Web Application Testing.
  • Good hands-on experience in API Testing.
  • Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
  • Strong knowledge of test case design, defect life cycle, and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools.
  • Working knowledge of Playwright and basic understanding of test automation.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

 

Qualification

  • BE / BCA / MCA or equivalent qualification.

 

Preferred

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA or similar defect/project management tools.
  • Basic understanding of automation frameworks and CI/CD practices.
